Eastern Sky
This extremely rare display appeared in “The Eastern Sky” one summer evening, and created a spectacular sight unlike any I had seen. The day’s fading rays of the sun were cutting through the sky at the most severe angle and began striking the edges of these clouds to render the most breath-taking sky scene I’ve ever witnessed. As it happened, at that very moment I was holding a just-unboxed Canon R5 with a 24-105 lens on it. Instantly, I started shooting as fast as I could. Within seconds teh light faded and this masterpiece was gone. I was compeled to give this image its name because I believe that when Jesus returns he will, as the Bible records, split “The Eastern Sky” like nothing ever witnessed in history. I think this was one of God’s reminders.

For all of my work, I only print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Metallic paper, one of the most exquisite and expensive in the world. The metallic particles embedded in the coating of the paper, along with it’s remarkable yet subtle texture, gives the print a shimmering dimensionality that is almost magical.
